Nurse Residency Spring 2025- Neonatal ICU Track

If you are a Senior Nurse, Nurse Graduate, or new RN, this is your chance to be part of the Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse Residency Program starting in Spring 2025 at our ChristianaCare facility.
ChristianaCare's Nurse Residency Program is highly acclaimed and accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs. It is also recognized as an Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Program.
Research shows that nurses who undergo residency programs have a higher success rate in their careers. That's why we are dedicated to supporting nurses with less than a year of experience through our nurse residency program.
Our 26-week Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse Residency Program offers a unique blend of education and hands-on clinical experience in our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, housed in a modern Women & Children's building. Nurses in this program also play a crucial role in our Couplet Care Program, caring for both newborns and postpartum mothers.
We are looking for graduate nurses with a passion for neonatal critical care, strong critical thinking skills, and a desire to transition seamlessly from GN to RN roles.
Please note that candidates must be licensed RNs in Delaware or a compact state before starting the program. Upon hire, a commitment to work at ChristianaCare is required for two years, with 15 months spent on the assigned unit. Failure to fulfill this commitment will incur a fee.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school by March 2025 (BSN Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Less than 12 months of experience at the program's start date
- Eligibility for Delaware or Compact State RN licensure

Application Process Timeline:
- Next steps will be communicated by the Talent Acquisition Team, involving video interviews and clinical references
- Applications will be reviewed by residency coordinators before August 29th
- Completion of required tasks (SkillSurvey and HireVue) by August 29th is mandatory
- Real-time digital interviews will be conducted from end of September to mid-October
- Offers will be extended in mid-October
- Nurse Residency Positions commence in mid-March 2025
