Medical Assistant Job Description

Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, the Medical Assistant will perform a variety of client related support functions both clinical and non-clinical such as establishing and maintaining medical charts, obtaining vital signs and specimen collection of ordered tests, completing forms and transcribing Physicians/CNP orders. Coordinate arrangements for client activities such as clinic, medical test appointments, etc. Serve as an essential link between the Office unit and various services and staff.

Medical Assistant Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Active Medical Assistant Certification.
  • One year of work experience as a medical assistant with work experience in a health care facility such as a doctor, dentist, or hospital office - record keeping, working with the public, direct client contact, answering telephones and working with medical terminology or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.

Compensation details: 20-20 Hourly Wage
