Position Description:

JOB TITLE: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

DEPARTMENT: Logistics

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Administration and Procurement, Administration, and Ownership

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS MANAGER SUMMARY: The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the operations of the warehouse and company inventory. They will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. They will analyze and oversee the organization's supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation.

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps to develop the warehouse to provide a variety of services including warehousing, distribution, materials management, and fulfillment services.
  • Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
  • Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service both internally and externally.
  • Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklifts.
  • Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
  • Verifies that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
  • Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
  • Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
  • Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
  • Orders new equipment as requested by management.
  • Coordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement.
  • Clocks in and out for activities throughout the day in Pierson Wireless' project management cloud solution.
  • Properly documents work performed in Pierson Wireless' project management cloud solution.
  • Provides support to other team members and staff as needed.
  • Operates company provided equipment and vehicles in a safe manner and follow all local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Submits receipts and expense records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS MANAGER SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with on-boarding new hires and supervising employees responsible for all warehouse functions and tasks. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Oversees the day-to-day schedules and workflows of the warehouse.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Facilitates with the HR team to handle disciplinary actions and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years related experience required.
