School Social Worker In Richton Park, IL

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team in Richton Park, IL. As a contracted School Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and other school personnel to support the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students within the educational setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies to address students' needs.
  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding social-emotional learning, mental health issues, and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student services and progress.
  • Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in school social work and mental health services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) School Social Worker endorsement or eligibility for endorsement.
  • Previous experience working as a School Social Worker or in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the school community.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.

Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Duration: School year
