Role

We are seeking a Supervisor for the Manufacturing Engineering Assembly Verification Test Application Development team. The team is responsible for performing coded software development for the processing and testing of vehicle electrical systems within the assembly plants. In this people leader role, you will lead a team of high functioning engineers to develop manufacturing test applications for assigned vehicle programs. You will be responsible for an innovative and motivated assembly verification team, and work closely with the integration and equipment and hardware teams on test validation and with the assembly plants on ensuring and improving quality. Due to the wide scope of work, this position will have high visibility across organizations. This team is a dynamic group, and this position will be challenging.

  • Leading execution of test development team in standardized work for all vehicle programs.
  • Collaborating with product engineering to define vehicle test requirements.
  • Collaborating with other regions on global workshare vehicle executions.
  • Supporting the team in removing roadblocks and barriers to successful execution of standardized work.
  • Participating in the selection of new team members
  • Performing annual goal development for team members.
  • Performing annual compensation planning for team members.
  • Managing team member performance via established human resource processes.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members and their careers.
  • Establishing and monitor budget for responsible activities.
  • Executing resource and workload planning for required activities.
  • Modeling and fostering GM's Core Values and Winning Behaviors.
  • Fostering an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of End of Line testing processes
  • Demonstrated results in leading successful projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to "Deal with Ambiguity" while driving timely decision making.
