Eagle Harbor, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Biologist in Quantico, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform work analyzing body fluids and / or other human tissues using DNA analysis. Aids forensic examiners in handling and analysis of physical evidence. Prepare solutions, buffers, and reagents used in body fluid and human tissue identification techniques. Maintain a manual of quality control procedures. Prepare detailed documentation. Ensure each analysis is performed correctly by conducting peer reviews on findings. Maintain each piece of lab equipment, check for damages, and request replacement equipment, as needed. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks, as needed. Include retesting samples and double-checking the finding reports, as needed

Position Requirements:

Fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance. Bachelor of Science degree in science disciplines or criminal justice. At least one year of evidence inventory, control and management experience preferred. Skilled in computer data entry, course work in forensics, attention to detail, familiarization with QA / QC, experience with a LIMS. Basic computer skills, to include use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook). Must be well organized, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to study and pass training, examination, and testing assessments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must successfully complete the DCU training program and will be required to successfully complete at least two proficiency tests annually. Must be able to communicate fluently verbally and in writing, in English, at the bachelor's degree level, be able to understand and execute complex verbal and written instructions in English, be able to express complex issues verbally and in writing in English. Must be competent in operating an IBM-style microcomputer in Windows and/or UNiplexed Information Computing System (UNIX) environments. Must be able to discuss complex technical issues in English, using a telephone. Must be competent with Microsoft Office products in a Windows environment and be competent with computer file management in Windows and/or UNIX environments (creating and deleting files and directories, finding, renaming, copying, and moving files, etc.).
