Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician or Chemist to contribute to our product development and quality assurance processes. As a Laboratory Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and adherence to industry standards. Your responsibilities will span from product formulation to equipment monitoring and process improvement.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical analyses and experiments following standard procedures.
• Prepare product formulations according to requested specifications.
• Monitor laboratory equipment to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Develop and document laboratory procedures and instructions.
• Contribute to the development of new products.
• Oversee the requirements for agency listings (e.g., UL, NSF).
• Coordinate efforts with purchasing, product management, quality, and plant operations.
• Investigate existing products to improve profitability, processing, and customer performance.
• Collaborate with operations to determine suitable materials for product requirements.
• Carver Press Operation: Operating the Carver Press
• Moisture Analysis: Operating the Moisture Analyzer
• Two Roll Mill Operation: Operating the Two Roll Mill
• Laboratory Scale Use: Operating the Laboratory Scales
• Specific Gravity Testing: Performing specific gravity testing
• Durometer Testing: Performing durometer tests
• Torque Rheometer Operation: Operating the Torque Rheometer (Lab Extruder)

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in scientific discipline with 2+ years of laboratory experience (can be from education)
• OR if lacking degree, need to have 2+year of GMP quality lab experience required
