Are you looking to gain Heating, Ventilation, & Air Condition (HVAC) knowledge and learn firsthand from industry leading professionals? Our team will give you this opportunity, in addition, we provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA). We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

How you will do it

  • Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
  • Apprentices will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
  • Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
  • You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
  • You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for

  • 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
  • Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
  • Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
  • Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
  • Prioritize safety in all forms.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license.

Preferred
1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
