Handyman for Residential Building (Brooklyn) - Temporary Position

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in the safe and economical maintenance of the buildings, grounds, parking areas, outside perimeter and mechanical equipment that provides service to the tenants.
  • Perform repairs, replacements, or preventive maintenance, as necessary with the approval of the building Superintendent.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the building and site.
  • Interface with tenants of the building to provide courteous quality service.
  • Assist in the preparation of empty apartments for rerental.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and safe work practices at all times.

Skills:

  • General working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, tile work, woodworking, cement/ concrete work etc.
  • Overall knowledge in matters of safety and regulations as pertaining to building repairs and maintenance.

Job Type:
Temporary

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
