About the Role

Barclays Services Corp. is looking for an Application Support Expert in Whippany, NJ. As an Application Support Expert, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling complex incidents and ensuring their resolution from start to finish
  • Creating Technical Incident Post Mortem (TIPM) reports for significant incidents
  • Leading problem management to decrease ongoing issues by implementing solutions and collaborating with teams
  • Reviewing testing strategies, test cases, and results to provide insights from a Run the Bank (RTB) perspective
  • Contributing to Operational Acceptance Testing to guarantee new systems are ready for production
  • Ensuring systems are built to be resilient and coordinating mandatory resilience testing
  • Becoming an expert in both functional and technical aspects of supported applications
  • Taking end-to-end responsibility for all Build The Bank (BTB)/Run The Bank (RTB) changes in the production environment
  • Managing autosys job SLAs and logs to improve monitoring
  • Automating manual checks like Start of Day, End of Day, and more
  • Identifying gaps in alerting and monitoring, and implementing improvements to minimize false alerts
  • Recognizing technical debt/issues and reporting them for risk assessment
  • Opportunity for remote work

Requirements

  • Employer prefers a Master's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Alternatively, the employer also considers candidates with a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in a relevant role
