ADI's Aerospace and Defense (ADEF) Module and Subsystem group designs RF/Microwave products ranging from MHz to 70+GHz for commercial, military, and space applications.

Products include receivers, transmitters, low spur/phase noise synthesizers, high-power GaN amplifiers, and multifunction modules.

The Aerospace and Defense business has an open position for a Senior PCB Layout Designer who will design cutting-edge mixed signal and mixed material printed circuit assemblies.

You will work in a collaborative team environment and interface with electrical and mechanical engineers, process engineers, and program managers.

This position requires a highly motivated and flexible individual to engage with external suppliers. We work in a continual improvement environment and welcome best practices from individual experiences.

Principal job responsibilities include:
Ideal candidate will be proficient with Allegro, PADS experience a plus. ADEF is moving to Allegro in the next several months as the primary CAD tool.

Design dense and complex PCBs with a wide variety of component types, emphasis on RF signal requirements, and board fabrication technologies.

Participate in the establishment and standardization of design rules and processes for the group.
Conduct peer and design reviews for PCB designs completed within the group as a participant.
Participate in a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.
Possible review and approve library entries and footprints as part requests.
Generate 3D CAD IDF files and generate 3D models for library parts in Solid Works.

Qualifications:
5+ years' experience
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent desired
PCB design skills including RF and mixed

signal/material/technology
PCB fabrication process knowledge
Working knowledge of IPC standards
Requires strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in fasted paced team environment.
Knowledge of JIRA agile management system is a plus
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
