Job Title: Microbiology Adjunct Instructor at Dyersburg State Community College

Dyersburg State Community College is currently seeking passionate individuals to join as Microbiology adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in various locations including Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, and other off-campus centers.

As part of the role, the successful applicant will need to be familiar with our course management system (eLearn) and actively participate in required meetings, attendance reporting, and grade submissions within set deadlines. Effective communication regarding curriculum and personnel requirements will be essential in collaborating with the assigned chair/dean.

This position directly reports to the Chair of Natural Science & PE and the Dean of Arts, Sciences, & Technologies.


Requirements:
  • Teach assigned courses in Microbiology
  • Prepare course materials
  • Evaluate student learning
  • Maintain class records
  • Submit required reports on time

Working Conditions:

Sedentary desk work with occasional travel for college or program-related activities. Minimal hazards with standard office settings ensuring health and comfort.


Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • 18 graduate semester hours in Microbiology
  • Effective communication skills
