We have the job for you SPRINGFIELD DENTISTRY 4 KIDS is offering a full-time opportunity as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at our MISSIOURI office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.

Certifications: CDA or RDA required, X-RAY and Coronal Polishing certification required, EFDA course completion (as mandated per state requirements)

Experience: 1+ years in a dental office

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: MONDAY-FRIDAY

Pay: Starting at $20.00

Monthly Bonus: up to $500 additional per month

BENEFITS: Healthcare (medical, dental, vision, etc) Benefits, 401k, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off available for all eligible employees

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees
  • Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
  • Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
  • Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
  • Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
