Location: Fully remote in the state of Florida

Schedule: Full time, 40-hour permanent schedule TBD. Current highest need is for Monday - Friday, day shift, and evening shift.

Compensation: $21.63 hourly wage with exceptional benefits, including 30+ paid days off and employer-sponsored individual health insurance.

Summary of Mandatory Qualifications:

• Must be a resident of Florida
• Strong preference for candidates fluent/bilingual in Spanish or Creole
• Available remotely from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday for eight (8) weeks of initial training
• Minimum requirement of an associate's degree from an accredited university
• Four (4) years of combined education and relevant work experience
• Ability in de-escalating crisis situations
• Pass a level two (2) DCF background screening and drug test

About 211 Broward: Join our team at 211 Broward, a rapid-response helpline providing support, information, referral, and crisis services. We are committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges by connecting them with necessary resources.

About the Position: We are looking for empathetic individuals to fill multiple Helpline Counselor positions. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, assessments, and providing support over the phone or virtual chat.

Requirements:

• Florida resident
• Fluent/bilingual in Spanish or Creole preferred
• Secure, quiet workspace with reliable internet
• No caregiver responsibilities during work hours
• Pass level two (2) DCF background check and drug test
• Meet education requirements
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Comfortable with phone and virtual chat environment
• Available for training starting in July/August 2024
