Now hiring Production Utility workers for a manufacturing company in Ravenna for all shifts.

1st shift: 6:45am – 3:15pm, Monday – Friday, $18 per hour.

2nd shift: 2:45pm – 11:15pm, Monday – Friday, $20 per hour.

3rd shift: 10:45pm – 7:15am, Sunday – Thursday, $19.50 per hour.

Weekly pay.

Production Utility is an entry level position. They are responsible for assisting Operator-Production associates by performing general labor operations in the positions of helper, mix / blend, material handler, cleaner, and support operators as needed.

Responsibilities(include but are not limited to):

  • Assist with startups and shutdowns of equipment as needed.
  • During changeover, assist with manually removing, cleaning and installing extruder die heads
  • Assist with setting up the mixer to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals, liquids, color pigments, ingredients.
  • Verify materials and weights prior to beginning the batching process.
  • Assist in preparing raw materials for mixing procedure.
  • Assist with loading raw materials into the mixer and process per detailed instructions.
  • Assist with examining raw materials visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Assist with measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials.
  • Assist with mixing the proper resins, pigments, fillers and chemicals together in the correct amounts for each production order.
  • Assist with packaging and storage of produced products; use pallet jacks where necessary
  • Assist with conducting month end packaging supplies inventory.
  • Ensure that boxes are labelled correctly – Product ID, correct weights, and any other customer requirements.
  • Assist with cleaning up scrap materials and debris and emptying trash containers.

Education and/or Experience:

·High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

·Prior experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is preferred.

·Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Physical Demands:

·Frequent use hands or fingers to handle, inspect, clean and audit equipment.

·Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.

·Use carts, dollies, and jacks to transport material if needed.

·Climbing ladders and stairs to reach work.

·Navigate narrow walkways and overhead mezzanines.

·Acclimate to noise and vibration levels in workspaces.

·Wear and adhere to all PPE guidelines including bump caps, protective eye wear, ear plugs, and approved footwear with safety toe safeguards.

·Lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
