INEOS Nitriles operates globally with a sales volume of 1200 kte and revenue exceeding $3 billion. The company has manufacturing sites in the US and Europe, with headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland and offices in Aurora, Illinois near Chicago. The primary products of the Nitriles business include acrylonitrile, hydrogen cyanide, and acetonitrile. Moreover, Nitriles produces catalysts for internal use and for other Acrylonitrile manufacturers. The INEOS Nitriles Plant at Lima is part of a larger industrial campus that includes several other manufacturing facilities.

The role entails overseeing troubleshooting and exploring new technological advancements related to the site's analyzer, instrumentation, and controls. The position is critical for ensuring analyzer reliability and the maintenance of essential site processes, product quality, and environmental standards.

Additionally, the position involves providing instrumentation support to the site. The individual will collaborate with Controls and Instrumentation Engineers/Specialists to implement instrumentation projects, develop cost-effective process control designs, and manage projects from inception to completion. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting instrumentation issues on-site.

Main Responsibilities:

Meet all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) objectives and adhere to governmental regulations.
- Promote safety across all plant areas and follow INEOS 20 principles.
- Participate in safety studies and apply Management of Change processes.

Enhance analyzer and instrumentation reliability.
- Implement improvement projects for analyzers.
- Maintain files on analytical and instrumentation equipment.
- Track KPIs for internal evaluations and external audits.

Support plant improvement projects.
- Assist in capital projects.
- Provide input on process design and project estimation.
- Ensure timely updates to drawings and specifications.

Skills and Qualifications Required:
Education/Experience
  • BS Degree in Electrical, Chemical Engineering, advanced Chemistry, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the chemical industry
Skills/Competencies
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and gas detectors.
  • Experience in electrical design, analyzer interface, and project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and SAP programs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
