Job Title: Lead Pipefitter

Company:

Under general supervision, responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of piping systems related to heating, water, fuel, gas, air, and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises Pipefitters and Leadmen, plans and inspects work
  • Estimates material and labor needs, maintains records
  • Ensures shop equipment is up-to-date and well-maintained
  • Oversees repair shop operations and safety procedures

Additional Duties

  • Custodian of all trade tools
  • Performs assigned tasks beyond core responsibilities

Environmental Conditions

May involve exposure to mechanical equipment, loud noise, odors, diverse weather conditions, and confined spaces.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in installing and maintaining various piping systems
  • Familiarity with pneumatic control and HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of safety precautions at work
  • Ability in torch usage, welding, soldering, and blueprint interpretation
  • Effective communication and computer skills

Minimum Requirements

Two years of experience as a lead Pipefitter or equivalent
