Lead Registered Nurse

Are you passionate about leading a team of nurses in delivering top-notch care to individuals in need? We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse Lead for our facility in Temple, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision to Caregiver RNs, LVNs, and Contract nurses in your assigned area(s) or facility.
  • Offer ongoing training and support to ensure high-quality routine and emergency nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the Area Director to implement nursing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor individual's service plans through quality assurance measures.
  • Oversee consumers' health conditions through medical chart reviews and audits.
  • Identify delays in service and ensure compliance with state guidelines.
  • Participate in Annual Recertification surveys and provide intervention to potential medical concerns.
  • Attend industry conferences and serve as a member of agency-wide committees.
  • Coordinate nursing assignments, training, and mentoring within your area.

Miscellaneous/Other Duties:
  • Attend meetings with Supervisor and complete specific assignments within designated time frames.
  • Provide ongoing clinical supervision, training, and support to nursing staff through various communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of chart reviews, audits, and nursing performance issues.
  • Coordinate hiring and training of nursing personnel within assigned areas.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of nursing practice standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to provide training and direction to staff in formal settings.
  • High-level assessment skills and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN license from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
  • Computer literate with basic Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word skills.

Language Skills:
  • Excellent reading and oral communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Reasoning Skills:
  • Ability to apply common sense in various situations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting - 50% of work time
  • Standing - 20% of work time
  • Walking - 30% of work time
  • Various physical movements - 25% of work time
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
