This position is for the Chief of Real Estate Acquisition and Planning Program Manager which is a function of the real estate community of practice in the Northwestern Division (NWD).

This position also functions as the Senior Regional Realty Specialist, subject matter expert, and technical leader for all Real Estate Planning and Acquisition, including long and short range planning aspects of the Civil Works and Military Programs throughout NWD, U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers.

Responsibilities Review, process, analyze and comment on assigned program actions, transactions, and instruments for compliance with applicable laws, real estate procedures, policies, authorities, delegations and existing regulations.

Apply a broad knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Army and Federal real estate procedures to provide guidance and assistance for the assigned program.

Perform as a catalyst and champion for developing tools and procedures for maintaining and improving technical capabilities of the workforce throughout the Regional Business Center.

Determine whether program actions processed within the districts are being accomplished in accordance with governing policies and procedures. Maintain situational awareness of regional and District projects and programs to facilitate sharing of best practices.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes experience applying a broad knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Army and Federal real estate procedures; and reviewing, processes, analyzing comments on assigned program actions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
