Job Title: Behavioral Intervention Support Team (BIST) Consultant

Description:
Purpose:
To provide training and assistance to adults in effectively engaging with (PreK-12) youth using the Behavioral Intervention Support Team (BIST) Model. In this role, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and residential staff to address behavioral concerns and ensure alignment in approach.

Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the BIST Program, engaging with public/private school personnel, families, and residential staff.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
- Contribute to research on the BIST Model and assist in preparing publications.
- Support the BIST Team's ongoing needs.
- Coach individuals or groups on youth engagement skills.
- Assist school counselors, social workers, and therapists.
- Travel as needed to provide services to schools beyond the regional location.
- Complete other assigned duties.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 5-8 years in working with challenging youth behaviors.
- Familiarity with BIST Model components.
- Understanding of school policies for challenging children.
- Knowledge of best practices in interacting with residents and supporting families.
- Must be 21 or older, pass background, physical, and drug screenings.
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance required.
