Job DescriptionAbout the jobResponsible for integration of AI, Robots, and vision systems for new and existing equipment.

Leading all phases of process controls, PLC programming and electrical engineering by participating in a multi-disciplinary team to achieve internal and customer expectations.

Maintain all manufacturing controls functions internally and with machine suppliers on various assembly equipment. Roles and responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain assembly machines to ensure high uptime and reduce reject rate. Design new automated solutions or improve current processes by using current technology to eliminate human error. Support development and maintenance of assembly machines. Review and approve new machine controls to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. Responsible for safety checks for all machinery, enforcing lockout procedures.

Assist in coordinating the purchase of controls equipment, working with suppliers to obtain quality machinery and controls that perform to job requirements.

Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to review product design proposals and changes to make recommendations. Document and maintain machine PLC, vision, and other controls changes. Support APQP activities. Identify and implement improvement activities in support of manufacturing, safety, quality, and production goals. Train and mentor maintenance personnel on routine control 's and vision activities. MAY supervise plant technicians, programmers or engineers students. Flexible to travel as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills Bachelor of Science in automation, process controls, electrical, mechanical engineering or manufacturing related degree.

5-7 years PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Keyence, Modicon preferred) Robot programming Fanuc,Wittman,Yushi, Staubli (Scara and 6-axis preferred) Vision programming (Cognex and Keyence) Pneumatics knowledge Integrating different types of sensors Troubleshooting controls issues Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.

2D electrical drawings. (Ability to read create and update). Three years manufacturing related experience in the assembly field. Leak Test systems (CTS and/or ATEQ) CAD or SolidWorks experience Problem Solving Kaizen and problem-solving knowledge. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.

Must be able to work in the U.S.Physical DemandsWalk; sit; stand, climb ladder; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms and hands; balance, stoop, twist, bend, talk, and hear; lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.


Vision abilities:
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. SUPPORT operations as needed.
