About the Role: The Aqua Instructor plays a vital role in delivering professional and safe aquatic exercise classes to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach classes with modifications for different fitness levels.
- Adhere to specialty certifications guidelines.
- Ensure safe and effective exercise techniques.
- Maintain industry certifications and pursue continuing education.
- Start and end classes punctually, and maintain cleanliness.
- Show accountability by avoiding missed classes and arranging substitutes.
- Create a fun and engaging environment for participants.
- Remain flexible with work schedules and center hours.
- Adhere to safety requirements and certifications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of group class instruction experience.
- CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Group exercise instructor certification preferred.
- Specialty group exercise class certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism.
