Roles and Duties:
  • Perform blood collection procedures and related tasks.
  • Provide exceptional patient service at check-in and during specimen collection.

Verify order requests and information prior to drawing blood or collecting specimens. Label and deliver specimens promptly for processing.

Communicate effectively with the team and outside departments.

Contribute to team discussions and quality improvement efforts.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications:
  • Preferably holds a formal phlebotomy certification.
Work Experience:
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency with standard procedures.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for equipment handling.
Protective Equipment:
  • Adhere to standard precautions and use necessary protective equipment.
