Job Statement:
Assist Supervisor in directing and delegating employees in the Shipping Department to ensure all safety, quality, and production goals are met.

Job Description:

  • Assess the Shipping Department daily for safety, quality, service, and scrap/rework concerns. Involve any necessary employees/departments to address issues immediately
  • Heavily involved in the disciplinary processes, manage the teams hours, schedule ships and create work loads
  • Read, understand and assist with the completion of various paperwork and reports to determine Shipping production requirements for the day. Oversee preparation of materials and schedules
  • Conduct meetings when the supervisor is unavailable
  • lead a team of 10
  • Prioritize work on the yard to meet shipping needs
  • Move and reassign employees within the area to fulfill shipping requirements
  • Arrange for repair and maintenance of equipment in the area

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:00pm, Friday 5am - 5pm,

Saturday 6am - 12pm
