Job Description
: This role involves handling billing, resolving issues that delay or prevent patient account payments within company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:- Answering phones, taking messages, and providing information accurately in the EMR
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Registering patients and updating demographic data
- Obtaining insurance information and verifying coverage
- Collecting payments and providing receipts
- Maintaining work queues and reports
- Preparing medical records for appointments
- Promoting company values and behaviors
- Performing other assigned duties
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
- One (1) year customer service experience
- One (1) year experience in a medical field
- Understanding of Medical Terminology
Physical Requirements: Effective communication, computer operation, sitting or standing for long periods, lifting objects, and other tasks may be required.
