SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Director directs and leads HR practices to create an employee-oriented, high performance culture that focuses on empowerment, quality and productivity.

This role involves guiding the implementation of HR services, policies, and programs through HR staff, reporting to the VP of HR, and advising company managers on HR matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees HR program implementation and ensures adherence to standards and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhancement and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manages HR staff work, supporting their continuous development.
  • Supervises HR consultants, attorneys, and training specialists.
  • Conducts ongoing reviews of HR policies and practices to keep management informed of advancements.
  • Leads the establishment of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Defines departmental metrics that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Directs the creation and upkeep of necessary reports for department functions and management.
  • Administers programs and guidelines to align the workforce with company goals.
  • Participates in various meetings, including executive and management gatherings.
  • Develops HR policies and objectives related to employee relations.
  • Collaborates with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Recommends practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship and boost employee morale.
  • Handles investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
  • Advises managers on the company's disciplinary system and manages performance improvement processes.
