Contribution as a Hospice Aide:

  • Offering compassionate care to patients to enable them to stay in their homes with their families
  • Collaborating with the hospice team to address each patient's individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Assisting patients in facing their final days with happiness, tranquility, and respect
  • Enhancing someone's quality of life on a daily basis

Prerequisites for Hospice Aides:

  • Preference for Certified Nursing Assistant certification
  • For states that do not require licensure, applicants must meet certain criteria
    • They must already hold a valid certification; or
    • Completing a state-approved nurse aide training program and having 24 months of consistent employment in that role
  • Mandatory current CPR certification
