PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Join us in co-teaching, planning, and collaborating with grade level teachers to ensure the integration of language development techniques into classroom practice.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Co-teach and co-plan using collaborative models Integrate WA ELP Standards, sheltered instruction techniques, and differentiated instruction Provide support to ELL students Teach English Language Development classes for ELPA21 students Deliver professional learning for colleagues Assist in planning lessons and assessments Participate in professional development opportunities Advocate for families of ELL students OTHER JOB DUTIES:Use sheltered instruction strategies to make content accessible Scaffold and differentiate instruction Apply formative assessments to track student progress Plan and deliver CCSS/NGSS/ELPS-aligned instruction Utilize data to inform instructional planning Complete all necessary records and reports Attend meetings and cooperate with colleagues Continue to grow professionally Maintain a safe working condition Perform other related duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work in a public school environment with occasional travel; adapt to shifting priorities and varied hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Washington State certification ELL or Bilingual Ed endorsement Teaching cert and content area endorsement Expertise in WA ELPS aligned to CCSS/NGSS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous teaching experience Experience with diverse student populations Good technology skills Ability to collaborate effectively Knowledgeable about Washington State Learning Standards Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Experience working with interpreters Team player with excellent communication skills
