Days/Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m - 5:30 pm.

As a full-time Physical Therapist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, you will be involved in evaluations, treatment interventions, and assisting with discharge planning for patients.

The Physical Therapist in our acute therapy department will evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by the physician. You will provide patient care following Scope of Practice Standards and the Code of Ethics, ensuring a safe environment and utilizing effective communication with attention to special populations, including those with diverse cultural backgrounds, age differences, developmental challenges, and physical disabilities.

QualificationsEducation:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree; Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Preferred: Master's Degree: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Preferred: Doctorate Degree; Completion of formal physical therapy education and training from an accredited institution required for license.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current physical therapist license issued by the licensing board of California
  • BLS by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
What else are we looking for?
  • Previous experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in an acute setting is preferred. We also welcome new graduates with exposure to acute care through clinical fieldwork.
Physical demands:
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs periodically; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and walk without limitations.
