Aerotek is looking to hire sanitation technicians

FIRST SHIFT, and starting at $23.96/hour

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AROUND HEIGHTS

Description:

The Sanitation Technician will often work independently throughout the entire plant. This person will need to be prepared to complete a daily rotation check list of basic cleaning as listed below.

Performs several activities to maintain the plant (buildings, equipment, grounds)

in an orderly and clean condition. Responsible to understand own role in the Food Safety Management System by awareness of the importance and relevancy of their activities and to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.


• Clean all drains inside production area.


• Work at heights and confined spaces.


• Clean, sweep and wash flour accumulation on stairways and balconies, inside production areas.


• Clean and maintain flour silo's area.


• Set up equipment for any task that may arise.


• Apply sanitizers and other cleaning products.


• Vacuum inside the mill structures and packing buildings.


• Pressure wash internal and external production areas.


• Complete work records for varies jobs.


• Perform light maintenance duties, sanding, painting, grinding, etc.


• Miscellaneous duties according to his/her position.


• Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

-Ability to follow simple written instructions

-Ability to read, write and speak English

-Reliable transportation to and from work

-Ability to work at elevated heights (up to 80 ft silos)

-Basic hand tools and light maintenance.

Nice to Have:

-Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience

-Prior manufacturing experience

-Forklift experience (optional).

Education:

-HS diploma/GED or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

-Overhead cleaning for long periods of time.

-Standing on feet for entirety of 12 hour shift.

-Frequently walking, climbing ladders and stairs.

-Must be able to push cart full of cleaning equipment/products.
