Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to collaborate with our Engineering team. In this role, you will oversee facility and manufacturing enhancement projects, create plans, and establish project budgets with a focus on ROI calculations. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance department by diagnosing building and equipment issues, conducting new equipment evaluations, and optimizing existing processes and machinery. Working closely with operations management, you will contribute to refining processes, equipment work instructions, and training initiatives for fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute testing and development of new equipment
  • Enhance and refine existing equipment
  • Utilize Project Management techniques to integrate design and budgets for projects
  • Collaborate closely with multiple facility Maintenance and Manufacturing groups
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support to INX plant maintenance
  • Offer floor support to address process challenges through continuous improvement strategies and root cause analysis techniques
  • Ensure products and systems adhere to relevant codes
  • Regularly report on activities, maintaining frequent communication with relevant team members on rapidly evolving projects
  • Initiate and provide documentation for capital projects leveraging TPM tools and management methodologies
  • Deliver in-house training sessions for all new equipment and processes based on departmental and organizational needs
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings with Autocad
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in mechanical, motion, and hydraulic systems
  • Basic knowledge of electrical system troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with instrumentation devices, programmable controllers, and their operational roles
  • Capability to troubleshoot instrumentation devices and PLCs effectively
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required
Desirable qualifications include:
  • Experience in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, Fusion 360, Navis Works
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
