We are on the lookout for a meticulous and well-organized Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Claims Specialist, you'll be pivotal in handling various insurance claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company regulations and policies. We require someone with top-notch analytical skills, exceptional communication prowess, and a solid grasp of insurance procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile data and submit third-party injury, third-party property damage, automobile accident, property, and workers' compensation claims to the insurance carrier.
  • Participate in all claims reviews, track action items, and provide follow-up reports.
  • Collaborate with the risk director, claims manager, and legal advisor on litigated claims.
  • Manage a log of temporary disabilities.
  • Regularly communicate with claimants.
  • Ensure swift outcomes by engaging with claimants.
  • Maintain internal claims logs and tracking system.
  • Facilitate and process claims payments with insurance carriers and/or claimants, as well as legal invoices.
  • Produce reports on claim trends, activity, and patterns.
  • Involve claimants, ACCO Employees, and ACCO Management in claim investigations.
  • Update internal claims using Insurance Carrier Loss Runs.
  • Collect supporting evidence like witness statements, receipts, and photographs for claims.
  • Act as a resource for other departments on claims-related issues.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in insurance claims or office administration for over 2 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or Insurance Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Strong investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to create comprehensive reports and analyze data for executive management.
  • Effective collaboration in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with claims processing procedures.
  • Additional skills, work experience, or certifications are a plus.

Working Hours:

This position is non-exempt, with work hours from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, including breaks.

Travel: Occasional travel (0-5%) may be needed for collaborations with leadership teams.

Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $26.93 to $33.60. Actual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skills, experience, certifications, education, and work location.
