The role comes with a pay of $21.07 per hour (+ 8% shift premium), a quarterly goal sharing initiative, and a comprehensive benefits package commencing from Day 1.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Welder at Caterpillar You'll:
Utilize a variety of tools available in the work area to carry out welding tasks including but not limited to:

• Operating robotic and manual MIG weld machines. Conducting self-inspections such as quality checks using weld and attribute gauges and other measuring tools. Carrying out on-site repairs on faulty welds using the carbon air arc process, grinders, etc.

Resolving common robotic welding system errors Mechanical tasks may involve:

• Employing lifting equipment to relocate heavy components weighing over 35 lbs for positioning bulky fabricated metal parts in welding fixtures. Executing routine maintenance tasks (wire change, tip/nozzle change) Following documented procedures like standard work, routings, and blueprints for safe and flawless operations to fabricate and machine components. Adhering to and applying CPS principles like 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work. Accountable for both process and final inspections.

What You'll Need:

Prior experience in welding operations Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Capability to carry out repetitive tasks Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in reading blueprints Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Ability to work as part of a team and be versatile in multiple roles Ability to be a constructive team player Strong communication skills Additional Information:
