The Deployment Engineer role involves installing and configuring hardware, Tyler software, and 3rd party software remotely, as well as troubleshooting moderate difficulty issues during installations. If you enjoy working night shift hours (3 PM-12 AM Central Time), this might be the opportunity for you


  • Perform remote installation services for new and existing clients according to service work orders.
  • Install and configure applications on various server operating systems.
  • Set up and configure databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Deploy web products to clients and configure web servers.
  • Provide technical training to clients on software installation procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure correct hardware and software orders during sales and implementation phases.
  • Document service work results for internal use.
  • Contribute to the company knowledge library and follow Tyler Technologies policies.
  • Engage in off-hours coverage based on customer demand.
  • Contribute to maintaining and growing the cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product development teams for troubleshooting and service maintenance.
  • Stay updated on new technology options and vendor products.
  • Utilize monitoring tools within our SaaS environment proactively.
The Deployment Engineer must be able to:
  • Build trust with clients by demonstrating strong product knowledge and work ethic.
  • Evaluate issue severity and determine the need for management intervention.
  • Turn negative situations into positive customer service experiences by building rapport with clients.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently while working independently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients from various backgrounds with a focus on providing accurate answers politely.
  • Handle technical issues with customers and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Occasional travel and weekend work may be required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with administering and installing applications on Windows or Linux servers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database engine setup and configuration.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, network configurations, web server technology, .NET framework, and SSL security.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment and work both independently and in a team.
