THE OPPORTUNITY:

The IT Project Technician is to be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair hardware, software and networking systems, resulting in a high level of end user satisfaction. Utilize knowledge of equipment and systems to effectively manage and prioritize workload.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Regular worksite attendance
  • On-site and remote support, including after hours
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to the end user's satisfaction
  • Update computer related systems
  • Install new hardware, software, cables, connections, and consumables
  • Perform or administer and track preventative maintenance
  • Document related systems, processes and procedures
  • Management, inventory and audit IT assets
  • Perform or administer employee training
  • Establish relationships with and maintain open communication with all relevant vendors
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Attend, be prepared for and participate in meetings
  • Accurately document status of all assigned jobs with minimal supervision
  • Drive to and from assigned locations
ESSENTIAL WORK HABITS
  • Establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
  • Report to work as scheduled maintaining a level of absences that results in minimal departmental disruption and minimal unfair burden on other employees
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and employees, resulting in positive morale and minimal conflict
  • Present a consistent level of professionalism and patience when interacting with both employees and customers
  • Work effectively as a team member
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Vocational school training, preferred
  • Work individually and also team environment
  • Must be results-oriented and have the ability to work with a high degree of independence
  • 3 years prior IT technician experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Expert attention to detail, documentation, organization, and multitasking
  • Must always wear personal protective equipment when on production floor
  • Participates actively in facility safety initiative, programs and training
  • Ability to work a schedule of (5) full 8-our days per week with the flexibility to occasionally work overtime, as needed
  • Timely and regular attendance
  • Performs other functions as required
