WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)

Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Opportunity to provide career growth DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Located adjacent to UW Medical Center - Northwest, the Spine Center at Meridian Pavilion uses the latest technology and a multidisciplinary approach to treat simple and complex spine problems.

We match each patient with the right doctor and the right treatment plan.

Our team provides care for common spinal conditions such as sciatica, slipped discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, as well as neck and lower back pain.

We offer a variety of nonsurgical therapeutic, minimally invasive and advanced surgical procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records

Perform injections

Prepare and clean exam rooms

Submit medication prior authorizations

Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider

Act as a liaison between patient, patient's family and providers

Assist provider with procedures and medical exams

Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values

Assist in transporting patients as required REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED equivalent


Eligible for licensure in the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Registered; attestation must be completed by the applicable provider and submitted to the state within 7 days of hire.

Licensure is not transferable between UW clinics/departments.

Six months experience in a health care setting preferred

Valid American Heart Association (AHA)
