The Enterprise Systems Engineer role involves the maintenance and preservation of program systems integrity. This position requires full-time dedication to overseeing the Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) at a client site. The Engineer is responsible for script development, offering expert technical support to team members, and management of server building and patching tasks for Linux and Windows platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing functional servers on Linux and Windows systems
  • Ensuring system compliance with cybersecurity standards
  • Monitoring system performance and integrity
  • Automating tasks and assessing their efficiency
  • Establishing, supervising, and testing security measures
  • Professional and effective communication with users as needed
  • Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
  • Providing recommendations for performance, capacity, and scalability enhancements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience as a Mid-Level to Senior Systems Engineer, or equivalent knowledge akin to a Senior Systems Engineer/Architect with 5 years of experience
  • Expertise in upholding compliance with cybersecurity standards and frameworks
  • Hold professional certification(s) such as MCSE, CCNP, or CISSP
  • Strong background in systems engineering and maintenance
  • Thorough comprehension of communication and routing protocols, especially ICMP, and TCP/IP
  • Proficiency in deploying Elasticsearch on Linux within a clustered setup
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like ESXi and vCenter
  • Understanding of access control models and network security
  • Solid grasp of server operating systems like Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows
  • Knowledge in fields like Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering disciplines, or minimum 5 years of direct experience as a network engineer
  • Knowledge of fundamental Cisco switching functions, including configuring access and trunk ports

Additional Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and ability to maintain clearance
  • Proficient in working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration aptitudes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capability to perform physical tasks like stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, and carrying up to 15 lbs of equipment
