This is a position with global grade14This position reports toPlanning & Fulfillment SpecialistYour role and responsibilitiesPlace purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production scheduleMonitor status of open purchase orders to ensure ontime delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential supply issuesExpedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory discrepancies and/or adjustmentsDetermine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead timesCoordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development or launchesProvide help & support to internal materials areas such as Receiving, Warehouse & Inventory Management to ensure proper transactions are done in the system.

(Receipts on time)Manage and resolve issues regarding PO due to invoice discrepancies, returns and/or quality issues within the supplier data baseProvide backup support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assignedSetup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks etc.)

Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply optionsEnsure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and proceduresQualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
2 plus years of experience in Materials, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory management etc.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Outlook) and purchasing software
Strong planning and organizational skills
Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
ERP knowledge
SAP ERP experience preferred
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
