A passion for excellence. SPI is looking for an experienced welder to join our team. TIG welding experience preferred. Aluminum welding experience preferred.
Shift:
1st Monday
- Friday (start time negotiable typical start time is 5:00am)This position will be responsible for providing quality metal parts that are manufactured to specific dimensions per work orders and prints.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance, and repairMeasuring tools: calipers and micrometersJob specification documents: blueprints and other fabrication documentsAttention to detail, including ability to keep paperwork and parts together and organizedWillingness to cross train on duties within the Fabrication Department including operating a variety of equipment as neededA good work history is a MUSTExperience that demonstrates accuracy, careful handling, and attention to detailBasic math and computer skillsExcellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Mig/Tig welding experience Aluminum welding experience Experience with light gauge materials Experience monitoring inventory of on-hand materials
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Reach, bend, twist, climb, balance and use hands and fingersMay stand or sit for long periods of timeRegularly lift and/or carry up to 50 poundsMust have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision workMust be able to see details at close range
