SWAN is currently seeking a dependable, self-driven PSI (Plumber) Trainee to join our team in Loveland. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, possess strong multi-tasking abilities, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. This is an hourly position that is non-exempt and at-will. Availability for full-time shifts and overtime as required by business demands is essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PLUMBING TRAINEE (CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES):

  • Demonstrate a positive demeanor, good judgment, and motivation in decision-making.
  • Learn and inspect various aspects of plumbing safety and sewer systems within customer homes.
  • Prepare detailed written reports on Plumbing Safety Inspections for each customer visit.
  • Provide customers with a thorough review of PSI visit findings and offer recommendations to address any deviations from normal plumbing and sewer system operation.
  • Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and quality.
  • Meet KPIs and surpass performance targets through tasks such as ride-a-longs as directed by Plumbing Instructor or Plumbing Manager.
  • Perform entry-level plumbing services and repairs in line with general Plumbing Safety Inspections post successful training with ASI Hastings expectations.
  • Maintain vehicle care standards including parts, materials, and equipment inventory adherence to company policies.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision, spending 95% of time in the field.
  • Participate in all scheduled department meetings.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS FOR PLUMBING TRAINEE (CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES):

  • Effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors through reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Uphold high levels of integrity and contribute to a positive company image.
  • Adapt to various individuals and working conditions.
  • Work independently and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform well under pressure.
  • Identify and relay negative discrepancies to customers verbally and in writing.
  • Comprehend plumbing and maintenance work orders and job instructions.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT FOR PLUMBING TRAINEE (CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES):

  • Conduct primary job functions in diverse settings including customer residences, outdoor areas, and field sites on challenging terrains.
  • Operate in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Manage frequent interruptions, meet strict deadlines, and focus on detailed tasks.
  • Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day on uneven terrain.
  • Engage in occasional heavy lifting and carrying of up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive physical movements such as grasping, reaching, bending, and climbing.
  • Work in confined or tight spaces regularly.
