\tSeneca Foods Corporation in Dayton, WA has an opening for a Full-time Accountant/Accounting Clerk to join our Finance Team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, and much more\r
\tThe Accountant/Accounting Clerk will be responsible for finance and accounting functions at the Dayton, WA facility, under the supervision of the Director of Finance. The expected compensation range for this position is $ $30.00 per hour, depending upon skils and experience.\r

\tResponsibilities:

\t\tProviding support to the Plant Controller.\r
\t\r
\t\tProviding support and backup to the Purchasing Agent.\r
\t\r
\t\tProcessing Payroll.\r
\t\r
\t\tPerforming accounting assignments in an accurate and timely manner.\r
\t\r
\t\tCoding and entering AP invoices.\r
\t\r
\t\tPreparing General Journal entries.\r
\t\r
\t\tCopying and/or scanning documents.\r
\t\r
\t\tPreparing and distributing interoffice and external mail.\r
\t\r
\t\tPreparing weekly check runs.\r
\t\r
\t\tAnswering phones and greeting visitors.\r
\t\r
\t\tBacking up other team members; cross-training on responsibilities.\r
\t\r
\t\tOther duties as assigned or required by Management.\r
\r
\r
\r

\t\tStrong organizational skills and attention to the smallest detail and accuracy.\r

\tEducation and Experience:

\t\tAssociate in Accounting degree is preferred, but equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.\r
