Physician - Primary Care - Full Time - O'Fallon, MO

SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in O'Fallon, Missouri. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
- Manage a broad range of medical conditions, from acute illnesses to complex chronic diseases.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other interventions according to best practice guidelines.
- Provide preventive care services, including immunizations, screenings, and health education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and stay current with medical advancements.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based care model.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
