Director of Software Engineering

Icario is looking for a skilled Director of Software Engineering who is passionate about building exceptional teams that deliver cutting-edge technology to amaze our clients. In this role, you will lead an engineering team in developing the next generation of the Icario platform and contribute significantly to our Engineering Leadership group. Your influence will be crucial in ensuring that our Engineering teams have the necessary resources and procedures to produce top-notch software that delivers the right message to the right individual at the right moment. By empowering people to take action and enhance their well-being, you will play a key role in driving positive health outcomes.

  • Manage, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of platform developers tackling challenging issues in the healthcare sector
  • Offer technical guidance and review design choices within the team
  • Promote best practices in software development and documentation, ensuring that designs meet specifications and deliver quality work within tight deadlines

  • Collaborate with other team leads to formulate and present product roadmaps
What We'll Love About You
  • Extensive experience at the Director level in Engineering
  • Proficiency in developing PaaS, SaaS, or data platforms
  • Strong background in Java or other JVM languages
  • Experience in creating applications using microservices, particularly in healthcare
  • Demonstrated success in driving product vision and strategy through effective cross-functional partnerships
  • Adept at blending advanced technical expertise with a customer-centric approach
  • Strategic thinker who can align customer scenarios with technological solutions and envision end-to-end experiences
  • Skilled in fostering a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery culture
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and embraces change to propel the organization forward
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
