Avionics Technician
Overview : Aerotek is looking is hiring Avionics Technicians for a Direct Hire role for one the largest Defense Contract Management Agencies in the world to be stationed at Fallon Air Force Base.

Occasional Travel will be required (20% - 30%).

Pay Rate :

$49.29 (guaranteed pay raise October 2024)
Shift : 5x8s (M-F) or 4x10s (F-M)+

First Shift:
at or after 4:00 AM (before noon)+

Second Shift:
at or after Noon (before 8:00 PM) - $1.10 shift differential+

Third Shift:
at or after 8:00 PM (before 4:00 AM) - $1.30 shift differential+

Weekend Shift:

at or after 4:00 AM (before Noon) - $1.60 shift differential
Job Description
:Avionics Technicians will performs organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance on various Military Aircraft to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and to provide technical assistance, guidance and instruction to other employees as needed.+ Performs testing and troubleshooting of weapons systems, complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems, communication/navigations, electronic flight control, fuel, power generators, power distribution systems, lighting systems, flight instrument and fuel systems, temperature and pressure indicating, engine and control indications, ATFLIR, Electronic Counter Measure, and RADAR systems.+ Provides technical assistance, guidance, and astute communication skills during aircrew de-brief.+ Reads and interprets blueprints, technical directives, planning documents, test specifications, technical publications and procedures, and applicable safety manuals.+ This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities.+ May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 70 pounds.+ Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.+ May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.


Required Experience :

  • Active Secret Clearance Minimum three years' aircraft avionics maintenance experience. Recent experience with F-18A
  • F, EA 18G, E 2C, or MH 60S F 16 aircraft preferred.
Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention. Ability to perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Sick Time: 2.16 hours per pay period (bi-weekly)+
