This position may be assigned tothe Livonia Service Center located in Livonia, MI.

The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).


We are looking for:

Pipeline Utilities Mechanical Engineer (TPSE)The Pipeline Utlities Mechanical Engineer assist in the development, design and testing of new products or systems.

The incumbent works on a team with other engineers, scientist, and technicians on moderately complex projects to ensure that their projects meet all relevant safety standards and specifications.

The Mechanical Engineer tests mechanical and electromechanical products and systems and is responsible for the mechanical testing and maintenance of products in production, as well as testing prototypes.

The knowledge and skills involved with this position include but are not limited to:
Analytical and problem-solving skills Mechanical and technical skills Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software; SolidWorks, Inventor or Cre preferred Written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Strong understanding of GD&T principles Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new softwareWe encourage you to apply if you have: Prior pipeline engineering/utility experience required Valid driver's license is required Understanding of 49 CFR Part 192, the Michigan Gas Safety Standards and ASME B31.8 is preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university with two (2) or more years of applicable engineering work experience [OR] Bachelor's degree in engineering from a non
  • ABET accredited university with a Professional Engineering license with two (2) or more years of applicable engineering work experience In this role, you will: Install remote operated valves and pressure limiting devices Design, control, and implement mechanical systems and products Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving mechanical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer assisted design or engineering software and equipment Collaborate with customers, coworkers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing mechanical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential mechanical engineering projects and studies Preparing specifications for purchases of mechanical equipment and materials and estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation Other non essential duties as assigned or may be necessaryWhy should you join our team?
