About the Position: Senior Manager, Virtual Construction

HITT Contracting is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Virtual Construction to oversee virtual construction processes and projects at our Falls Church, Virginia headquarters. In this role, you will utilize advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to improve project planning, coordination, and execution, working closely with stakeholders to optimize outcomes and drive innovation in the construction sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in line with company objectives and industry standards.
  • Integrate virtual construction methodologies into project delivery, including BIM coordination, clash detection, animations, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures, such as BIM Execution Plans, to ensure effective operation of BIM coordination.
  • Lead a team of Associates and Managers, offering mentorship and growth opportunities.
  • Use advanced BIM software to coordinate detailed virtual models of project designs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, determining schedules, staffing, and budgets for VDC scope.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve model-based conflicts.
  • Create 4D construction sequencing simulations based on virtual models.
  • Analyze construction schedules for optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Establish quality control procedures for virtual construction deliverables.
  • Review virtual models and project documentation to ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in commercial construction with at least 5 years in BIM/VDC processes.
  • Proficiency in understanding construction documents and design communication tools.
  • Knowledge of software such as Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Synchro Pro, and Adobe CC.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with current BIM tools and VDC processes.
  • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Active participation in professional organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success in implementing virtual construction strategies on complex projects.
