Description

In this role, you will be responsible for offering administrative support for the Police Department. Your main duties will include managing records, assisting customers, and handling various clerical tasks. Operating under general supervision, you will have the autonomy to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
Summary of Duties

- Code and input data into software to generate accurate reports for submission.
- Organize and distribute daily paperwork to staff, including citations, offenses, arrests, and accidents.
- Interact with the public in person and over the phone; provide necessary information or direct individuals to the appropriate department.
- Process police-related materials, including expungements, accident reports, and financial transactions.
- Ensure the security of departmental materials like evidence tapes and citation books.
- Maintain a database for Police Department vehicles, handle seized vehicle/money paperwork, and compile information for auctions.
- Generate departmental reports, make copies, and distribute them accordingly; maintain report files.
- Manage an employment applications database, send notices/letters, and prepare materials for assessment centers.
- Perform standard office tasks such as correspondence preparation, background checks, mail processing, and more.
Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of college or specialized vocational training in computer technology or related field
- Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS) certification
- Two years of relevant experience
Supplemental Information

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role involves sedentary work, occasional standing or walking, exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly, and sustained keyboard use.
