Job Summary & Responsibilities


The IT Project Manager will join our PMO team to support programs that drive the delivery of new products/features initiatives utilizing industry best practices in project management using Agile/Scrum as well as traditional waterfall methodologies.

The project manager will collaborate with business leads, technical resources and business analysts from IT, Commercial, Quality, R&D to define the project strategy and guide the project core and sub teams to deliver on project objectives.

The Project Manager will be accountable for the successful execution and delivery of projects.

  • Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables
  • Able to build strong crossfunctional partnerships with business stakeholders, IT Business Relationship Managers, Internal IT resources, and External integration partners and vendors
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team and Business Leaders
  • Support internal and external development teams by managing project schedules, budget, and performance to established success metrics
  • Support software development through the defining Done, backlog prioritization, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives along with hybrid Agile/Waterfall approaches, inclusive of all testing coordination and acceptance of all release to Production
  • Promotes a proactive, professional culture within the PMO, contributing to the group's success
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that prevent the team from delivering on goals. Foster communication and decision making to either persevere forward or pivot to another path
Role Requirements

  • BS Engineering/Science degree or equivalent required
  • At least 7 years project management experience with a clear track record of making a difference in the projects
  • Life Sciences experience such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device, Lab, Biotech
  • Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • Experience with Agile project management and process improvement methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience as a project manager with the software development life cycle and project manager experience
  • Experience with adaptive and predictive project management techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills among team, crossfunctional peers
  • Strong facilitation skills (Sprint Planning, retrospectives, requirements sessions, design meetings, progress meetings)
  • Experience interfacing with commercial, operations, marketing, R&D, and quality
  • PMP certification desired
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry is desired
  • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Project, MS office, Atlassian/JIRA, Visio, MS Project and other project management tools

Seeking a mid-level Project Manager with no more than 5 years of PM experience - prior Business Analyst experience is highly desired. 3 days on-site, no negotiation on hourly rate range or hybrid work model
