Position Overview:
This job posting provides detailed information about the responsibilities and expectations for potential candidates.

With compliance to state regulations, FHLC Policy and Procedure, evaluate, diagnose, counsel, and offer psychotherapeutic and Substance Abuse treatment for children, adolescents, and adults; as well as educate Providers, staff, community agencies, and the public.

In compliance with training and skill level, below are the essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Therapeutic intervention for Individuals, couples, and/ or family consultation with patients (In-person and via Telehealth) including:
    • Functional and strength-based assessment and diagnosis
    • Psychoeducation for patients and their support systems
    • Medication adherence counseling and disease self-management counseling
    • Motivational Interviewing
    • Cognitive behavioral intervention
    • Self-Care Plan development and skills training
    • Substance use disorder evaluation

Interview potential patients, offer mental health services, counsel or provide rehabilitation services to assist in social adjustments and achieving goals. Document clinical activity, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and act as a case manager when needed.

Cooperate with other FHLC staff and outside agencies, educate patients and families, manage patient care, provide crisis counseling, and assist individuals with accessing necessary services.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Independent work ability, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities
  • High ethical standards and confidentiality maintenance
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • State of Wisconsin Driver's License maintenance and ability to operate a company vehicle

Education/Experience:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Competency in assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling, and psychotherapeutic treatment
  • Ability to provide cognitive and behavioral interventions
  • Interpersonal skills and collaborative work approach
  • WI state licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months
