Overview:

Bar Enzo will be situated in The Greats of Craft's fresh LIC spot, nestled on the second level. This bar is our unique take on an Italian-American bar, inspired by the lively gatherings at our Sicilian Grandparents' home in Queens.

We are on the lookout for a talented Head Bartender to steer our vibrant team in launching this thrilling new concept. We need someone who can whip up a Negroni as effortlessly as they can nurture a close-knit team culture.

You will collaborate closely with the owners in bringing our vision to life. Just like our other endeavors, we aim to cultivate a sense of community and unity through food & drink accompanied by gracious hospitality. This position is eligible for tips.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, alongside the ownership, and train team members to uphold Bar Enzo's standards of welcoming and engaging hospitality.
• Supervise the team and ensure everyone meets the expectations and guidelines set by the owners.
• Engage with the local community to strengthen ties with the neighborhood.
• Ensure the smooth, efficient, and exquisite operation of Bar Enzo.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and take ownership to not just oversee the business but actively seek its growth and enhancement, including introducing new specials and engaging in R&D endeavors.
• Maintain quality control across all aspects of the business.
• Co-manage purchasing, inventory, and financial targets as agreed upon with the ownership.
• Go above and beyond to guarantee a stellar end-to-end guest experience, aiming to offer more than just a transaction.
• Collaborate with the ownership and General Manager to organize weekly orders, manage inventory levels, and ensure proper rotation of stock.
• Monitor and ensure the completion of daily/weekly tasks and shift summaries.
• Preserve the cleanliness and high standards of the venue.
• Propose and implement solutions to enhance service, customer interaction, storage, and operational processes.
• Strive for an 'A' grade on DOH inspections, with support from the ownership and the team.
• Secure a NYC Food Handler's Permit Card promptly if not already in possession.
• This position will report to the General Manager and Ownership.
• This is an on-site role, located at our LIC spot on 3rd Avenue, LIC, NY.

Skills:

Background in bartending or the hospitality sector

Excellent customer service skills with a welcoming and friendly attitude

Proficient in cash handling and POS systems

Familiarity with food safety regulations

Ability to perform quick and accurate basic math calculations

Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
